<p>The Purchasing Manager is responsible for controlling costs, negotiating contracts, contract management, building supplier relationships for the requirements and specification of parts/materials required for our properties.</p>

<h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>
<ul>
<li>Request for quote (RFQ) activities; create RFQs, send to suppliers for pricing, compare returned RFQs from different suppliers</li>
<li>Report weekly in team meetings and discuss daily in team huddles</li>
<li>Negotiate with suppliers to get lower pricing and improved service</li>
<li>Project management: take lead on projects as assigned by manager, provide purchasing support</li><li>Negotiate maintenance contracts for the buildings and hotel</li>
<li>Must be able to understand the required specifications from the customers, review drawings (internal and external)</li>
<li>Prepare contracts for vendors (currently using the Yardi system)</li>
<li>Handle general purchasing when needed</li>
</ul>
<h3>QUALIFICATIONS</h3>
<ul>
<li>Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or relevant career experience.</li>
<li>3-5 years experience in procurement and material management.</li>
<li>Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel; Yardi Systems Software is an asset.</li>
<li>Proven negotiation skills and ability to maintain long‑term supplier relationships.</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on market trends.</li>
