<p><b>Position Overview:</b> Douglas Law is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Law Clerk to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in real estate transactions, a strong understanding of Ontario real estate law, and the ability to manage complex files independently. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, proficiency in legal software, and a commitment to providing top-tier service to our clients.<br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br></p><ul><li>Be able to work from the Vaughan office Monday to Friday.<br></li><li>Manage and oversee all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions from start to finish.<br></li><li>Prepare, review, and process legal documents, including agreements of purchase and sale, mortgage documents, title searches, and closing documents.<br></li><li>Conduct due diligence, including title and off-title searches, and review of surveys, zoning, and corporate documents.<br></li><li>Liaise with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction to ensure seamless communication and coordination.<br></li><li>Assist lawyers with the preparation of closing agendas, statements of adjustments, and closing reports.<br></li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and firm policies.<br></li><li>Mentor and provide guidance to junior law clerks and support staff.<br></li><li>Stay updated with changes in real estate law and industry practices.<br></li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b><br></p><ul><li>Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent certification from an accredited institution.<br></li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience as a real estate law clerk, preferably in a law firm setting.<br></li><li>In-depth knowledge of Ontario real estate law and transaction procedures.<br></li><li>Proficiency in legal software such as Teraview, Conveyancer, and Lawyer Done Deal<br></li><li>Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.<br></li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.<br></li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.<br></li><li>Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.<br></li></ul><p><b>Why Join DLF?</b><br></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package.<br></li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development.<br></li><li>A collaborative and supportive work environment.<br></li><li>Exposure to a wide range of real estate transactions and legal challenges.<br></li><li>Work with a team of dedicated and experienced legal professionals.<br></li></ul><p>Job Types: Full-time, Permanent<br></p>
