<p>Senior Engineering Lead – Design & Aerostructures</p> <p>Location: Lindsay, Ontario, Canada<br> Salary: C$165,000 - C$210,000<br> Employment Type: Full-time<br> Work Model: Hybrid</p> <p>About the Role<br> A senior-level Engineering Lead – Design & Aerostructures is sought to lead the development of mechanical and structural systems for next-generation eVTOL aircraft. This role combines hands-on product development with leadership of the engineering team, guiding the technical strategy, tools, methods, and processes for both developmental and certified aircraft.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p><ul><li> <p>Lead and mentor the Design & Aerostructures team, setting technical direction, goals, and priorities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Architect, design, and implement mechanical system architectures from aircraft to component level.</p> </li> <li> <p>Design critical structural components including fuselage, propulsion mounts, landing gear, and system housings.</p> </li> <li> <p>Specify and validate materials (e.g., composites, aluminum, titanium, high-performance polymers) for strength, weight, thermal, and durability performance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Oversee product development from concept through prototyping, testing, and production release.</p> </li> <li> <p>Optimize structures for strength, stiffness, fatigue, and thermal performance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Interface with suppliers to validate materials, manufacturing methods, and fabrication constraints.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in failure investigations and root cause analyses for material or mechanical performance issues.</p> </li> <li> <p>Develop test infrastructure to verify platform performance and support certification.</p> </li> <li> <p>Identify and establish strategic partnerships with external organizations and research institutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure compliance with industry regulations and eVTOL certification requirements.</p> </li> <li> <p>Continuously improve processes, tools, and team capabilities.</p> </li> </ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p><ul><li> <p>5+ years in senior engineering or technology leadership roles within aerospace, with primary structural systems experience (composite design and stress disciplines preferred).</p> </li> <li> <p>Full lifecycle experience in at least one aerospace program, from concept to production and certification.</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with eVTOL Certification regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA).</p> </li> <li> <p>Hands-on experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA V6, 3DExperience preferred).</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proactive mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a drive to innovate.</p> </li> </ul> <p>Benefits</p><ul><li> <p>Competitive group benefits plan</p> </li> <li> <p>Company share scheme</p> </li> <li> <p>Flexible working options</p> </li> <li> <p>Opportunity to work on groundbreaking aerospace projects</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborative, multi-skilled, and high-impact team environment</p></li></ul>Create Your Resume First
