<h3>Your Opportunity</h3>
<p>We are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to join our Assessment and Permitting team within the Environmental Services practice area, focusing on Provincial and Federal Environmental Impact Assessments. This role offers the flexibility to work from one of our local offices in a hybrid environment.</p>
<h3>Your Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Implement environmental assessment, impact assessment, and permitting processes for a variety of projects, including mining, infrastructure, industrial, and community developments.</li>
<li>Manage project tasks and deliverables related to Federal Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).</li>
<li>Write and coordinate proposals and reports tailored to specific project requirements.</li>
<li>Conduct desktop studies to support regulatory requirements for various developments.</li>
<li>Develop and implement consultation programs with a focus on diverse stakeholders.</li>
<li>Communicate and liaise effectively with project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and the public.</li>
<li>Work with a group of professionals across Canada focusing on environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance.</li>
<li>Build on previous client relationships to provide opportunities and support development.</li>
<li>Actively participate in key client meetings and professional/industrial organizations.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Key Account Managers and Sector Leaders to achieve excellent business outcomes.</li>
<li>Be responsible for the dedicated staff providing Environmental Impact Assessment services within the Assessment & Permitting team.</li>

<li>Ability to work seamlessly with multidisciplinary project teams.</li>
<li>Capacity to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li>

<li>Proven project management skills, delivering quality results on time and within budget.</li>
<li>Willingness to undertake periodic short-term, regional travel.</li>
<li>Self-motivated with excellent technical writing and public speaking skills.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Education And Experience</h3>
<p>A university degree or post‑undergraduate college diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or a related field is required. Minimum 15 years of experience in project management/environmental programs and project development, with a focus on renewable energy projects for a consulting firm. Experience with environmental impact assessments, including Federal IA, Class EA, TPAP, and/or Ontario Energy Board/Canada Energy Regulator processes is preferred.</p>
<h3>Preferred Qualifications And Assets</h3>
<ul>
<li>Training in environmental assessment programs.</li>
<li>Membership in Ontario Professional Planners Institute, OAIA or ECO Canada EP designation.</li>
<li>Consulting experience, particularly in environmental impact assessments.</li>
<li>Expertise in community consultations, securing site access, and regulatory approvals, including with Indigenous communities.</li>
<li>Familiarity with project financing.</li>
<li>Experience in mentoring rising talent.</li>
<li>Active participation in strategic planning and execution, including pre‑positioning for key projects and developing RFP responses.</li>
<li>Project management experience, maintaining billable work and ensuring successful project deliveries.</li>
