<p>We’re excited to be expanding our Hardware Engineering team and are looking for a SoC Architect / Design Engineer who is interested in working with pioneers at the intersection of secure semiconductors, quantum and AI. <h3>What The Job Involves</h3>
<ul>
<li>Use your advanced knowledge of ASIC design to architect and define next‑generation System on Chip architectures, starting with the definition of product requirements from application assumptions, stakeholder requirements and system architecture proposals.</li>
<li>Design novel architectural features and define relevant studies to evaluate impacts on cost, performance, power and software usability.</li>
<li>Collaborate with IP providers to successfully implement third‑party IP and support any development of custom silicon designs from micro‑architecture to design qualification.</li>
<li>Drive RTL design and its flow to GDS, working closely with physical design, DFT, and verification experts.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams (e.g., software, CPU, verification, R&D, security, etc.) to optimise your designs.</li>
<li>Contribute to roadmap planning, design reviews, and silicon bring‑up.</li>
<li>Write detailed technical documentation; review technical documentation for peers and other engineers.</li>
<li>This is a hybrid role, with a mixture of working from SECQAI’s office in London or Bristol, and at home.</li>
<li>We know how important it is to build in a customer‑centric way, so you may be asked to travel to meet SECQAI’s customers and partners in person.</li>
<li>Maintain the highest standards of integrity: you’ll protect SECQAI’s operations and that of our clients by maintaining confidentiality at all times.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Who you are</h3>
<ul>
<li>You have a B.Eng./B.Sc., M.Eng./M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).</li>
<li>You have 9+ years of relevant SoC architecture and design and/or implementation in advanced technology nodes.</li>
<li>You have experience with multi‑core subsystems, interconnects, and memory hierarchies.</li>
<li>You are a power‑user of industry‑standard design tools from leading providers (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, OpenRoad).</li>
<li>You have led a team of engineers.</li>
<li>You’re inquisitive and a self‑starter. You love learning, solving problems outside of your comfort zone, starting new things and taking them through to production, all the while learning from your mistakes.</li>
<li>You enjoy collaborating with and supporting a wide range of peers and mentors.</li>
<li>You set a high bar for your own work (both how it works, and how it looks).</li>
</ul>
<h3>Desirable</h3>
<ul>
<li>You have experience working with RISC‑V & CHERI ISAs.</li>
<li>You have functional safety and security knowledge.</li>
<li>You have taken multiple designs from conceptualisation through to tape‑out.</li>
<li>You’re interested in building secure systems and platforms, and have knowledge of relevant security standards.</li>
