You&#39;ll lead a team of high-performing professionals and help build tax strategies that fuel growth for privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals.</p><p>If you&#39;re ready to move past routine files and want to be part of something dynamic and impactful, we want to hear from you.</p><p><strong>What You&#39;ll Be Doing:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Lead complex tax engagements</strong>, including reorganizations, estate planning, corporate structuring, and compliance</p></li><li><p>Review and oversee the preparation of T1, T2, and T3 returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness</p></li><li><p>Act as a strategic advisor to clients on tax-saving opportunities and long-term planning</p></li><li><p>Support partners on high-level tax initiatives and special projects across various industries</p></li><li><p><strong>Mentor and develop a team</strong> of tax professionals providing feedback, setting performance expectations, and supporting continued learning</p></li><li><p>Stay current on tax legislation and translate regulatory changes into practice-wide process improvements</p></li><li><p>Contribute to internal leadership meetings with insight into tax operations, resource planning, and process optimization</p></li></ul><p><strong>What You Bring to the Table:</strong></p><ul><li><p>CPA designation in good standing (Canada)</p></li><li><p>Completion of the <strong>CPA In-Depth Tax Program</strong> (mandatory for this role)</p></li><li><p>At least <strong>10 years of experience</strong> in public practice, with a significant focus on Canadian private company taxation</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated success leading tax planning engagements and managing complex client files</p></li><li><p>A minimum of 2 years in a <strong>Manager or Senior Manager</strong> role, with a proven ability to supervise, mentor, and retain staff</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with <strong>CaseWare, CaseView, and Taxprep</strong></p></li><li><p>A consultative approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike</p></li></ul><p><strong>Compensation & Work Environment:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Base Salary:</strong> $125,000 - $160,000 CAD (based on experience)</p></li><li><p><strong>Bonus Structure:</strong> Performance-based, with annual review</p></li><li><p><strong>Work Location:</strong> Markham, Ontario On-site presence required</p></li><li><p><strong>Relocation Assistance:</strong> Not available for this role</p></li></ul><p><strong>About the Firm (Client Confidential):</strong></p><p>Our client is a well-established accounting and advisory firm with more than two decades of trusted service across Ontario.
