Important: This is a 3-month contract role for Ontario-based independent contractors only. Contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes, CPP contributions, and any other statutory obligations.

Location & Hours: This is a hybrid position with in-person collaboration required at our Toronto office (Queens Quay West) 3 days per week for the duration of the 3-month contract. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

About the Role:

Big Viking Games is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner to support a high-priority hiring period across Big Viking Games.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designed to increase recruiting throughput by owning sourcing, screening support, scheduling, and recruiting operations. You will work closely with the VP of People and senior hiring leaders, while partnering with hiring managers on role delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who wants exposure to fast-paced, real-world hiring and is comfortable operating with urgency and accountability.

What You'll Do:

  • Source candidates for active roles using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and outbound outreach
  • Review resumes and conduct initial qualification screens (experience, availability, location, comp alignment)
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications
  • Maintain accurate tracking and pipeline hygiene in Workable
  • Support hiring managers and recruiters with candidate logistics and follow-ups
  • Assist with offer preparation and onboarding handoff
  • Help keep roles moving forward and prevent bottlenecks

Requirements

The Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, sourcing, or talent support
  • Comfortable reviewing resumes and conducting basic screening conversations
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and follow defined processes
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-volume environments


Bonus points if you've got:

  • Experience with Workable or similar ATS
  • Exposure to tech, gaming, or startup environments
  • Experience with LinkedIn sourcing and outreach
  • Prior contract or agency experience

  • Consistent, healthy pipelines for priority roles
  • Faster interview scheduling and reduced candidate drop-off
  • Clean, up-to-date ATS data with no stalled candidates
  • Hiring managers spending less time on admin and follow-ups
  • Clear contribution to hires completed or offers issued
