<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>We have an <b><strong>immediate opening</strong></b> for an experienced <b><strong>Folder/Gluer Machine Operator</strong></b> to join our production team on the afternoon or night shift. This is a great opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing manufacturing operation, offering competitive benefits and a supportive work environment.</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></b></p><ul><li>Set up and operate folder/gluer equipment (Bobst or Brausse) according to customer specifications and SOPs.</li><li>Locate, load, and prepare stock and raw materials for production.</li><li>Perform full machine make-ready including feeder, pre-fold, glue system, final fold, delivery, stacker, and packing areas.</li><li>Maintain optimal machine speed and productivity; identify and adjust for malfunctions quickly to minimize downtime.</li><li>Ensure product quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.</li><li>Manage line integrity to prevent product mix-ups and ensure non-conforming material control.</li><li>Record production data including materials usage, run times, and make-ready durations.</li><li>Transport materials using hand trucks or industrial carts.</li><li>Perform cleaning, organizing, and routine maintenance on machine and work area.</li><li>Add necessary adhesives or materials as required by the job specifications.</li><li>Provide direction to crew members assigned to the machine.</li><li>Assist in training co-workers and contribute technical expertise for new product development.</li><li>Follow all safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.</li><li>Support other related tasks as required by the supervisor or management.</li></ul><p><b><strong>Requirements & Skills</strong></b></p><ul><li>Previous folder/gluer operating experience preferred (Bobst or Brausse) — or strong willingness and ability to learn.</li><li>Basic computer literacy with strong math skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Mechanically inclined with effective troubleshooting abilities.</li><li>Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality work.</li><li>Strong ability to understand and execute written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.</li><li>Must have <b><strong>CSA-approved safety shoes</strong></b>.</li></ul><p><b><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></b></p><ul><li>Regularly lift up to <b><strong>20 lbs</strong></b>; occasionally up to <b><strong>50 lbs</strong></b>.</li><li>Continuous standing, walking, bending, and repetitive hand motions.</li><li>Good hand-eye coordination and visual accuracy (with or without corrective lenses).</li></ul><p><b><strong>Benefits</strong></b></p><ul><li>Casual dress</li><li>Dental and extended healthcare coverage</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Free on-site parking</li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
